Our platform for monitoring vibration and temperature assets has new features! These include more versatility when configuring alarms, allowing specific control of more than one type of measurement and alerts sent by e-mail. Check it out below:
Separate software and hardware alerts
In addition to the pre-existing LED alert configurable via the app, it is now possible to independently configure the alerts on the Web Platform! These alerts work in a similar way to the hardware alert (LED): it is possible to determine the vibration/temperature intervals that will trigger the A1 and A2 alerts at the monitoring points.
To configure the alerts on the Web Platform you need to access the edit spot screen (Figure 1) and proceed to the "Alerts" tab (Figure 2), where it will be possible to set 2 alerts independent of each other:
- Alert Option A
- Alert Option B
In practice, these alert options (A and B) allow the user to be alerted by more than one type of measurement. In other words, it is possible to define up to 2 software alert conditions independently and fully configurable on the Web Platform! These alerts can be defined per axis (Uniaxial), applied to the three axes (Triaxial) and even the temperature. It's also possible to determine the number of measurements above the limit that will trigger the alarm for the spot, i.e. how many consecutive measurements of vibration or temperature above the A1 or A2 thresholds will be necessary for the system alarm to trigger.
Note: Web Platform alerts are displayed on the Dashboard and do not indicate on the LED of the device.

Notification of alerts via e-mail (see conditions)
Another new feature is the software alert notification e-mail, which is sent to users with an "Alert subscriber" profile. To assign this profile to a user, go to "MANAGE" on the asset tree (Figure 3) and choose the desired sub-area.
Figure 3 - Asset Tree Management
On the "Users" tab it will be possible to add the permission "Alert Subscriber" to the user that you wish to receive the notifications (Figure 4)
Figure 4 - Register Alert Subscriber
Every collection that generates an A2 alert (critical level), will send an e-mail to the users registered as "Alert subscriber", containing information about spot and the period of the alert. Through this screen, you can go directly to the spot in question on the Web Platform. To do this, just click on "Go to Spot" (figure 5).
Figure 5 - E-mail alert
This feature is still in development and will currently send an e-mail to each spot registered to the workspace in which the user is subscribed, for every collection that is made.
Therefore, we ask that users are not registered as alert subscribers to a plant as a whole, but to sectors.
We are developing improvements with management screens where it will be possible to choose the frequency of notifications and manage subscribed users.
We are open to feedback and all suggestions will be considered for improving the system.
